WELCOME TO THE
Mangotree day nursery is a place for the children were they have an opportunity to play, learn, develop and grow at their own pace. Children are active learners and learn from their experiences. Mangotree Day Nursery provides a cheerful, child centered classrooms, children are encouraged to learn by exploring, trying and doing.
The nursery provides a caring, inclusive and nurturing environment. Each child is valued and their interests and enthusiasms are sought out and nurtured. Generally, babies have access to quality play resources. Staff generally engage and sustain children's learning during focus activities. Effective partnerships with parents ensure information relating to individual children's progress and needs is shared successfully. The manager has a clear vision for the continuous development of the nursery and is working effectively with staff and parents to improve standards for children.
We are operating from 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday. We work 50 weeks a year and we are closed for one week in Christmas and one week in Easter. We are registered with the Ofsted for 38 children 3 months to under 5 years old, including 3 babies. We have a very cosy baby room and 2 halls where there is a free flow.
At The MangoTree day Nursery we have a skilled and experienced team of qualified staff who are dedicated to caring for your child, act as facilitators and guiding children to learn through play. We do not aim to teach the children to read and write before they are ready or interested. But we are committed to providing a stimulating environment, which fosters enquiry, enthusiasm and above all provides a positive first experience of school life. Social skills are given great importance and we encourage the development of each child’s understanding of themselves and those around them.
The daily timetable is carefully planned and provides a structure within which each child can work at a pace that is right for him/her. There is a wide range of educational, sensory and different play material in our lovely bright classrooms and access to well-equipped outdoor play areas.
The children work individually as well as in small groups and the equipments are designed so that each child has the opportunity to master one stage before moving on to the next. A great deal of learning is done through imaginative play. We plan our curriculum based on each child’s interests and their capacity to cover all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
We are members of the Brent Early Years Development Plan, which means that after your child has passed his or her third birthday, we are able to claim the Nursery Education Grant for you each term, until they leave.
